  Below is important information regarding our facility, services, and policies.

KOSTE EN REGISTRASIE

Parents are welcome to request the annual fee structure, which will be emailed upon request.

• Registration and monthly fees are available on request.
• Fees are payable in advance before the 1st of each month (February–November).
• No learner will be allowed to attend Aftercare if fees are outstanding.
• Monthly statements will be emailed. If not received, you may request it via:
  bursar@vrspmail.co.za

REËLS

Our Aftercare rules are clearly displayed on the premises. Kindly familiarize yourself and your child(ren) with them.

HUISWERK

• Supervised homework sessions run from 14:00 – 16:30.
• All learners are expected to complete homework at Aftercare.
• Completed homework is confirmed with a stamp, signature, and date.
• Learners needing additional academic support will be assisted after the official homework period.
• Please note: Homework remains the joint responsibility of the learner and the parent.
• Parents must check and sign all homework daily.

SPORT & EXTRAMURALS

• Activity forms are available at Aftercare. Please complete and return promptly.
• Learners must report to Aftercare first for roll call before leaving for any activity.
• Own transport arrangements are required for off-site activities — Aftercare staff do not accompany children.

SAFETY FIRST

• All learners must enter and exit via the foyer only.
• Public access and toilet use are strictly prohibited.
• Please notify us via the Aftercare WhatsApp group when fetching your child. Allow 5 minutes for them to pack up.
• If someone else will be collecting your child, please inform the Aftercare staff in advance.

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS (EXCLUDING DECEMBER)

• We are open during school holidays: 07:00 – 18:00.
• Closed over December/January holidays.
• Fun and engaging holiday programmes are provided.
• A copy of the holiday schedule and contributions required will be shared two weeks in advance.
• Your support makes our holiday fun a great success!

OGGENDSORG

• Morning care is not offered during school terms.
• Morning care is only available during holiday programs.

DAILY OPERATIONS

• Ons is oop direk na skool.
• Grade 1 & 2 learners are collected from their classrooms during the first two weeks of the new school year.
• A list of required stationery will be shared via WhatsApp. Please clearly label all items left at Aftercare.

LUNCH & SNACKS

• A light lunch is provided daily, including a variety of fresh sandwiches, fruit, and juice.
• Fridays are “Fun Food” days — our hotdogs are always a hit!
• Kindly inform us of any food allergies.
• Please check the weekly menu on our noticeboard.

CLOTHING & BELONGINGS

• Please send a change of clothes for playtime. A sunhat and sunblock are highly recommended.
• All clothing and bags must be clearly marked.
• Unclaimed clothing will be donated monthly to charity or the school’s second-hand clothing bank.
• Learners are responsible for their own belongings. Afta’cool is not liable for any lost items, toys, books, or clothing.

COLLECTION & ROUTINE

• To maintain routine and minimize disruptions, we kindly request that children be collected after 16:00 whenever possible.
• We close strictly at 18:00. Late collections will incur a fine.
• Please notify Aftercare staff if your child will not attend on a given day due to illness, parties, appointments, etc.

CONTACT & COMMUNICATION

• We may not answer immediately during busy times (e.g. outdoor play, homework time). Please try again.
• Afta’cool is a cellphone-free zone — no learner may have a cellphone on the premises.
• Staff are available for communication from 12:00 during school terms.
• Kindly refrain from contacting staff after hours or over weekends.
